Squash racquet
A slim strung racquet used to hit the ball against the walls in squash.
Equipment
Overview
A squash racquet has a small strung head and a long, thin frame, built for the fast, enclosed game played against walls. The light frame lets players swing quickly in the tight space of the court.
Similar racquets are used in racquetball, though the two sports differ in court, ball and rules. In both, the strung head is used to strike a small rubber ball.
Good to know
- Slim and light for quick swings in a confined court.
- The ball is small, hollow and made of rubber.
- Racquetball uses a related but shorter, distinct racquet.
